Saturday, March 1, 2014 7:30 PM

Hank Williams and Patsy Cline are two of the biggest names in country music history.  Their timeless songs are brought together in Jason Petty’s Country Royalty starring Jason Petty and Carolyn Martin.  Both artists have earned the highest praises in the country music world.  Jason grew up as a farm boy in Primm Springs, TN just 50 miles from Nashville hearing his father Jim sing Hank Williams tunes and Grandmother Fannie Mayberry gospel.  Jason graduated from the University of Tennessee in theater arts and music and was selected to play Hank Williams in the Off-Broadway hit Hank Williams:  Lost Highway for which he won the Best Actor Obie Award.  He then created the Hank Williams Honky Tonk Heroes show.  Jason has toured all over the US, Canada and Europe with both shows.  His new show Country Royalty joins Texas native and Nashville resident Carolyn Martin with Jason is a tribute show to legendary artists Hank Williams and Patsy Cline.  Carolyn’s fame began as a Western Swing artist performing big band, Broadway and country in venues across the country and in Europe.  She starred in the PBS special The Time Jumpers.  She has produced 3 CDs and in 2010 was voted the Western Swing Female Vocalist of the Year.  When Martin and Petty are performing Country Royalty, they truly become Williams and Cline.   I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry, Walking After Midnight, I Saw the Light, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams, Crazy, Hey Good Lookin’, Your Cheatin’ Heart are just a few of the hits in the show.
