With a narrative built around a piano
that passes through several owners, the two act, Off Broadway
production,
Irving Berlin’s:
I
Love A Piano, is the nostalgic journey of Irving
Berlin’s music from Tin Pan Alley, circa 1911, to the late-1950s
musical, Annie Get Your Gun.
The six-member cast of singers and dancers, plus
orchestra, perform over 60 Berlin hits that reflect over
seven decades of American history. The flapper days,
Depression-era, war times, Broadway hey-days influenced Berlin with
hits like “Alexander’s Ragtime Band”, “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me
Warm”, “White Christmas”, “Ain’t Misbehavin’”,
“God Bless America”, “Puttin’ On the
Ritz”, “Blue Skies”, the Ethel Waters’ classic show-stopper,
“Suppertime”, plus so much more! I
Love A Piano is one of
only two shows authorized to use the massive Irving Berlin song
