In 1961 ten young, up-start
musicians formed The New Christy Minstrels and created America's
first folk ensemble whose music is as remembered today as in the
1960s folk-music heyday. Their first album won a Grammy and they
would go on to produce numerous gold records. They have also
performed at the White House and all over the world. The New Christy
Minstrels bring their unique form of onstage excitement with titles
they made famous such as This Land Is Your Land, Today, Green Green,
Mighty Mississippi, and We'Il Sing In The Sunshine. Minstrel alumni
include Kenny Rogers, John Denver, and Steve Martin, who started his
comic career on the NCM stage! Eight of the original "Minstrels"
currently tour, along with two new additions to the group. What a
