Silver, brass, copper, bronze, aluminum, and tin are the components of the 361 bells that make up the world's largest hand bell collection of The Raleigh Ringers! The nineteen-member ensemble, and director David M. Harris have performed in 34 states and Europe. Their over.2S0 public TV stations in 44 states. High demand for RR results in a one to two year wait for scheduling. Their show is as diverse as the instruments they play. Imagine Dueling Banjos, Entry of the Gladiators, Old Time Rock and Roll, Prelude In C# Minor, Yakety Sax, Flight of the Bumblebee and We Are the Champions on bells!. Add sacred favorites and the RR give a new dimension to bell choirs. The non-profit group was formed in 1990 to present sacred and secular handbell music to the widest possible audiences through concerts, festivals, educational workshops and tours. Each year RR sponsors bell festivals for children and advanced adult hand bell choirs. The RR have produced five recordings on CD and a DVD of their Christmas performance.
